The Story Behind Nomad Heritage Weddings

We're Nina and Ari - the two people behind Nomad Heritage Weddings, based on the Central Coast NSW. And yes, we're also the two people who will be with you from the moment you're getting ready to the last song of the night.

Our Story

We met through friends while finishing university - Ari studying film, Nina completing a degree in music composition. From the beginning, creativity was at the centre of our connection. Nina was taking behind-the-scenes photos on the set of Ari's short film, while Ari was filming live performances of Nina's music.

What started as two artists collaborating soon grew into something more - a shared love for creating, exploring, and finding beauty in the ordinary. Through lockdowns, road trips, and long nights dreaming up our next adventure, we realised that our love for art mirrored our love for each other: honest, evolving, and deeply human.

Nomad Heritage became the natural next step - a way to bring our passions together and tell stories that feel like home.

Our Background

Nina's journey began long before weddings - at age 11, camera in hand, capturing her family's travels across Europe. Growing up in Russia surrounded by traditional art and culture, she developed a deep appreciation for emotion, beauty, and storytelling through imagery. Her photography style blends that timeless artistic influence with a candid, modern touch.

Ari comes from a background in film - with a degree in Cinematography, he spent years creating short films before turning his focus to weddings. He brings a cinematic eye to every image: technically precise, emotionally led.

Together, we're not just two photographers. We're two people who genuinely love what we do - and who show up for every couple as a team.

How We Work

We take a limited number of weddings each year. Not as a marketing line - but because it's the only way we can show up for each couple the way we want to.

Every couple we work with gets both of us, all day. But before that, we invest in actually getting to know you. A coffee catch-up. An engagement shoot - not just for the photos, but so you know exactly what it feels like to be in front of our cameras before it matters most. By the time your wedding morning arrives, we're not strangers. We're familiar faces you already trust.

We've seen what happens when couples feel comfortable with their photographer. They stop thinking about being photographed. They just live the day. And that's when the real moments - the ones worth keeping - actually happen.

We're based on the Central Coast NSW, photographing weddings across the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Greater Sydney. But our hearts are always chasing new places and stories - from sunlit coastlines to quiet country escapes.
